Elements Part 2:
A Sequel to Elements of Nature and Texture in Watercolor TBA - coming 2021

Watercolor, by its inherent fluidic nature, lets us explore in a way that no other medium allows. In this sequel to her Elements of Nature and Texture Workshop, artist and teacher Anji Grainger will revisit techniques from the first session and add additional techniques to build on our texturing foundation. Using demonstration and hands-on exercises.
- Day One will focus on preparation of textured paper foundations. Learn to impart unique under-patterns on the paper and learn about using texture to plan a composition. We’ll also explore new ways to apply texture with deli wrap and tissue paper: Not what you’re thinking!
- Day Two we’ll continue our exploration with pouring of paint and other texturing substances. We’ll also begin to build texture into the composition plan by creating our own personal stamps and stencils.
- Day Three, the focus will be on completing one or more of these textured starts.
While this workshop builds on the Elements Workshop, Part 1, Part 2 stands on it’s own and it is not necessary to have taken Part 1.
A supply list is provided upon registration. Contact Oregon Society of Artists for a space.
